Last of the Summer fun.
The grandsons have gone. All is so quiet. Just the chugging of the washing machine.
But not before packing lots into a final day of fun.
It began with bird watching from the stone jetty at Morecambe at 08.30.
Then on to a model railway exhibition at Carnforth Railway Station ( Brief Encounter film) Heritage Centre where blipper Sheilwill is a volunteer.
There were seven layouts working. The blip shows scenes from on of the most amazing ones I have seen. Every form of transport is included.
The detail was astonishing. The chickens flapped their wings and the tiny cows heads went up and down to eat the grass. All working with hidden magnets.
After lunch it was time to ride on bigger trains run by the Lancaster and Morecambe Model Engineering Society. The extra shows a small part of the track.
Cheerio boys. Come again soon.
