Droning on...

Had a drone lesson from stepson Mark this morning and this is my first photograph!  Actually, he took it off, levelled it and handed me the controller.  I framed the pic and pressed the button!  He landed it.

Will I ever get one?  Not sure.  They're great fun but I suspect they'll become regarded as outrageous - a bit like diesel engines - once the bullying keyboard warriors on the social media sites get into full flow.

The view is from above Hendon in Sunderland down the coast.  The second bay down to the promentory is north Seaham beach and beyond that is 'glass beach' at Seaham. After that is East Durham and then Teesside.  On the horizon and off to the left is the Yorkshire Coast along to Whitby.

Notice how coastal erosion is continually nibbling away at the agricultural land.  More disappears after every winter storm.
