Petralia Soprana
Being an adrenalin junkie, I hired a car today for a drive out of Palermo into the Monti Madonie. This blip illustrates a blissful moment, in the only bar open in the most beautiful village of Petralia Soprana, 1147 metres above sea level. Soprana was lovely as can be seen from the Chiesa Madre, a view of a small square and some examples of that old blip standby, an old door. Also here is the village from the road below.
The drive also took in nearby Petralia Sottana, Polizi Generosa, a little more distant Castebuono and on the coast East of Palermo the beach at Santa Flavia. And no, that isn't me in the sea.
