Rest in Peace, Archie
A slightly better day, but there's still been showers and breezy. The winds calmed and showers fizzled out this evening.
It's been a fairly emotional day for me, but I was kept busy at work and the day soon passed. Been down to mam's this evening, and spent time with nieces Megan, Eve, Elise, Lottie and Anna. Sister Julie had to go to hospital tonight, nothing serious, but I popped by. Think a quiet night in with Sammy is needed.
Poor Archie still wasn't well this morning, so I went to the vet first thing. Sad news from the vet, his kidneys were failing and on a downward spiral. Time to say our goodbyes, but he'll never be forgotten. 19 happy years old. Born in 1998, and I adopted him with my house purchase in 2003. I've had 14 very happy years with Archie, but will miss his cuddles. I've buried him tonight, beside my old dog Butch, they were best of pals. Sleep well Archie and we'll meet again. The second photo was Archie this morning, before our sad news. Archie's peerie grave at granddad's willow trees, Aith meadows, Cunningsburgh.
