Dad's 90th birthday today, celebrated this evening in Laxey at an excellent Italian restaurant - the Mona Lisa.

Earlier, we visited Laxey Wheel, the largest working water wheel in the world. Thence, to Ramsey where we saw the lake where Dad first went sailing with our Mum in the late 40s. Then, back South to Douglas. There, thanks to the Manx Museum's magnificent Archivist  - Wendy Thirkettle - we managed to see a photo of my Dad on Garwick Beach 75 years ago and one of his Mum, Dad and Aunt in, we think, the 1950s.

Nest we took the mountain railway to the summit of Snaefell: another triumph.
