Goodbye Seattle

We had a wonderful week and a half in Washington State, seeing friends and being treated to a great time by our son and his wife, but all good things must come to an end. Today we depart the city for our daughter's home town of Long Beach, CA and three weeks of living via public transport (though we had done quite a bit of bus travel while in Seattle, but always had our son's car to fall back on). In honor of the three weeks to come, we took the Seattle Light Rail from downtown to Sea-Tac Airport. A great, un-stressful trip to start the day's travel. We picked up the train a block from our hotel in the Pioneer Square Transit Center (shown here) and it delivered us 40 minutes later at the airport. No freeway hassle or parking nightmare, just a little walking between the station and our gate. The perfect way to start the travel day.
