Red and blue.

It's a lovely day. Despite having a cold I went for a walk. I bought two individual steak pies in the local butcher and two second-hand books in one of the growing number of charity shops along the road.

One was Charlotte Gray by Sebastian Faulks and the other was a criminal forensic thriller by Patricia Cornwell. That 's for my wife who likes all that CSI stuff on the telly.

The colour in the photo reminds me of another book - The Red Balloon - which I had when I was a kid. There was a film too. Did it come before the book?
