A BEAK AND A HALF!

Not a great day weatherwise, at the moment is is absolutely pouring. I went my weekly shop at 8am and was back for 9.15am, had a cup of tea then went my dog walk. When I suddenly saw the heron near the edge of the canal I tied the dogs to a tree and sneaked through the bushes and managed to get this shot before he saw me and took off. I know I have posted a few herons recently, but where I walk the dogs it is a struggle to find animals to blip, so I am grateful to see a heron. It is not the same one as before as the other one lives at the other end of the canal. Hope you like him.
As I am having the neighbours in for coffee tomorrow morning I am going to make some scones now, and I have made a pot of strawberry jam, so hopefully I can get my dog walk over before they come and the baking is all done. Happy days!
