Tiny Tuesday: Everyday Object (What's the point?)

isbi's asked us to blip a close-up of an everyday object for todays Tiny Tuesday.

This is an everyday object for a schoolchild - at least it was in my day. I think it's fairly easy to guess (especially with that clue) but I'll be interested to find if you agree :-)
