Welcome Back!

Indeed!

I love the school's sign - not so much for what it says, but because of it's location. The tree behind the sign speaks more of where we are in the calendar year than any verbage written.

It is the first tree in the area to begin to show signs of autumn - it's highest leaves turning a vibrant orange/red. In late October, it will be the first to show signs of winter, dropping all of it's leaves to the ground below. And finally, in the spring - it is the first to offer new growth on it's bare branches.

It's truly a magnificent tree and one that I hope survives for generations to come. It makes me appreciate nature that much more!
