The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Who doesn't love this book by Eric Carle? We had read this book just last night, it was ironic that the kids found this hungry caterpillar near the field today.

We decided to give him a glass house complete with sticks, leaves and water so that he can continue with his metamorphisis and we'll be able to watch his changes.

We did discover one thing about caterpillars... they poop a LOT! I suppose that I'll be cleaning out his house often - can't have him being a filthy caterpillar!

It'll be worth the work when he cocoon's and eventually we can release him as a beautiful butterfly!
