The Forth Crossing

Today was our SWI summer outing. We went to the Forth Crossing education centre for a talk on how they new Forth Crossing has been constructed. It was amazing seeing the huge piers being pushed into place at a pace of 6mph, and the huge cantilever bits lifted into place.
We had a walk over the Forth Road Bridge to get a different view then headed to Rococco Pier in South Queensferry for lunch. The afternoon was spent at Hopetoun House - this is a view from the sea walk. The new bridge is the one nearest us - possibly not very visible if looking on a phone. The walk had lovely views across the Forth, and finished at the tea shop for tea and scones! What else for us SWI ladies?! A few of us then headed to a local bar for some cocktails in the sun. A fab trip out :-)
Meanwhile A seems to have spent the day after watching D play football, having nerf wars and playing board games.
