what we did today...

It's Friday so it's off to cricket

Another away match for C. This week he was grumbling that we never go to watch him. Mostly because his brother plays at home and his dad isn't home in time so I can only be in one place. Tonight a very tired Dad was convinced to have a big coffee and head in to Edinburgh to watch. He was very pleased he did. C played for the other team as they were short, he took wickets and held his own against the best bowlers from his own club. Dad has texted to say he's very proud tonight and glad he went in. C will have been v chuffed.
D had declared he wasn't going to cricket tonight and objected to getting into shorts just in case he changed his mind. Of course as soon as he was at the cricket ground he had a ball in his hand and I didn't see him for an hour or so. He also hit some fab shots and got his bowling in target too. Well done both my boys!
The stuff from school is still grumbljng on, infuriatingly the parents have been "telling on" each other to the head teacher - I don't get why. The school have nothing to do with it! It's doing my head in and taking staff away from their actual job! . That and the prospect of the coalition with extremists is just too much. A large glass of wine has been poured. I really wish I could go running...I need it!
