The Wright / McMahon family.

I was invited to Morgans 3rd birthday today so I could capture the happy day on film. I had a few photo's I could have used (with the families permission given of course) but in the end I wanted to go with this for a reason.

Firstly pictured are my friends Lee and Jackie whom I have known over ten years now. I was in the Sheffield nightclub the night they met, for a short period we shared a town flat and even now we remain close. Three years ago they had their first child, Morgan who is also pictured. To the far right is Lee's Mum, Kath.

Kath asked me as soon as I arrived if she could get this shot taken. She dotes on Lee and is clearly immensely proud of the family unit he has built up.

I think this photo captures that much more than any snatched moment caught candidly, because it was requested and therefore means something special to someone. Just for a moment the frantic pace of a childs party was broken for a tender moment to be properly recorded. Sometimes we don't acknowledge the things, and we certainly don't take a moment to stand and pose for them.
