Surprise

It was very early this morning and I was sitting outside with my first brew of the day when I heard the blue tits with their distress call. I expected to see the Sparrowhawk or the pine marten but to my surprise it was a red squirrel. I could just about see him and managed this quick shot before he disappeared and the blue tits calmed down. Not long after there was more noise this time by  family of baby Great tits. Wonderful to watch them in the cherry tree tweeting away and being fed by their parents who were looking abit tatty by now.
Baby blackbirds have arrived too and the wren has been singing at the top of it's voice.
Hoping the Brownies were ok in the thunder, they have a hall nearby which can be used just incase. We did have several very heavy downpour in the afternoon. The morning was lovely though and I sat outside with Mike to catch up on what he's been up to all week. When he got back yesterday the car would nt start so the car will have to go to the garage again.
