Our plane arrives

Here is our plane arriving at Westray airfield from Kirkwall - 4 passengers got off including I think 2 teachers for the village school and Nick and I got on. How I wish every flight could be this simple - no checking in,weighing luggage, security queues etc.

I started a video on my iPhone when we started to move and not much more than 4 minutes later I stopped it when we came to a halt at Papa Westray ! Easily seen it is the shortest commercial air flight in the world with the crossing taking less than 2 minutes. It was great fun and especially interesting for Nick who used to fly little planes when I first knew him about 40 years ago.

Unfortunately not a very nice day but we have settled in nicely at the hostel for our 2 night stay here and we enjoyed a walk along the beach. The light drizzle didn't bother the Eider ducks and chicks or the 2 Grey Seals in the background of the extra.
