You had one job....

Back to my parents house - six hour drive from Edinburgh, we broke it up with an afternoon with dear friends on their small holding. This is Billy - their bull.  The problem is, he's not doing his job, and the problem there for Billy is there isn't a great future for him as a result.  Poor Billy. 

We also checked out their cattle heard, horses, chickens and rabbits, quite the collection.  The setting it utterly idyllic, the lifestyle is utterly idyllic, except both of my friends have full time jobs, Doug the hunter hasn't been ridden for 5 months as there just isn't time to fit it in.  It's the classic problem - well paid jobs, wonderful lifestyle, no time to enjoy everything.  They are just about holding everything together, but something is going to have to give, tough decision.  Aside from this, we had such a lovely time with them, you can't beat seeing old friends.
