The leaning tower

This precariously leaning brick structure sits at the side of the former railway running between Peebles and Edinburgh via Dalkeith, developed in the 1850s and closed in 1962. It presumably provided heat for the men who serviced the rail line. A section of rail is built into the brickwork as a beam.
