A quiet place ...

... to sit and think.

Only it wasn't!

I took the chance of a morning off before Ruth's meeting to visit Birmingham Botanic Gardens which are just down the road.  I did find somewhere quiet to sit and think but this wasn't it.  The gardens were busy with school parties and if it wasn't them it was the resident peacocks squawking!  The gardens were looking good, if a little 'tired' after  along dry spell.  The rhododendrons and azaleas were probably the highlight although there were lots of other nice things to see.

After lunch Ruth's meeting went well, I had the privilege of an hour one-to-one with an inspiring Augustinian and the drive home went like a dream, putting to rest yesterdays nightmares!  All in all a good day.
