Cirencester lamb

We're in the Cotswolds, the land is very poor for all things arable, which means there is quite a lot of live-stock around, mostly sheep.  There are a lot of sheep, we even had some in the paddock outside the house for a while (and I still miss them).

Down one of the nicer side streets is a statue of a ram.  I think he's by a famous sculptor and was unveiled by Joanna  Trollop (that I do remember from the plaque).  There is an excellent toy shop on the street and we just happened to pop in as someone has a birthday coming up - I had to make sure that not everything is coming from e-bay...!  The boy wanted to get up close and personal with the ram, I had to stop him from trying to clamber onto him, but he was quite enthralled by him, even saying 'bye' as we left.
