Friday evening inspiration

It's been a funny day, just never quite managed to get with the day somehow. To the point I ended up taking a nap at nap time along with the boys - and had the most delicious cuddle with the youngest as we slept snuggled up together. 

I'd tried to be organised before giving in to nap time and go through a selection of cookery books for some inspiration. Given my mood, nothing was really ever going to leap  out,  although I diligently found something and wrote up the list of things to get.  And, given my day, I left the list at home when we went to the super market, so kind of got what I thought we needed. After picking the student up, we headed straight to the posh supermarket, to get coffee (which I'd forgotten and that makes me a terrible wife), and I caved. I got some dreadful (scrummy), curry for two, which meant no cooking for me and something totally different to normal.  Win, win.  Although I don't think the boys are fans of curry quite yet....
