Growing

It's been another cold day punctuated by rain showers and dog walks dodging the rain. It's often quiet walking on days like this with just a few regular die hard walkers. I often wonder where all the other dogs are and what kind of walks they get. Few people even find their way to the shops which seem almost deserted and the walk to school seems to be replaced with a car journey.

The purchase of a few plug seedlings seems a little premature and they are now cosseted in bubble wrap to try to give them a head start in a couple of weeks.

I was reading an entry in a journal in which the author had explained how hers was an account from her pet's perspective. I've written from the point of view of a soft toy for my daughters in the past, although not when they were particularly young! I've also enjoyed some fiction with an unreliable, forgetful or indeed a narrator who lies. It makes reading the book hard work because it's not always obvious that the narrator is not was seems. I wonder if this style of writing is worth exploring if I can develop some continuity between diary entries- maybe there's a project developing.

The blip today is still working with pencil effects working out which views will convert into this style and which will convey something about the scene different from a normal photo.
