Above Us.

We took N to the children's playground at Harestanes this afternoon. 

It has a lovely natural setting in old parkland and there's lots of space to run about. N's  favourite thing was the little cottage made of woven willow panels, with a thatched roof and rough wooden benches inside to perch on.

The trees above were  busy with rooks building nests - flying back and forth with great lumps of twig in their beaks and cosying up to each other on the limbs to survey the activity below.
 
Grey sky, bare branches, black birds - clearly a day for an attempt in mono!
