Ann

Today is our last full day of our mini break, we leave for home first thing tomorrow, but the good news is that we'll be back in just over a week!

Today is also Ann's birthday, a special birthday insomuch as she is now entitled to some of those useful concessions, though not yet a bus pass. We had a good day, coffee at our now local coffee shop, The Clipper, and then the ferry over to Teignmouth where we hoped to catch the 1pm Bay Cruise. Unfortunately this was not running due to lack of numbers, so we had lunch on the Back Beach by the beach huts and a little look around the shops.

We then caught the ferry back to Shaldon in time for the 3pm River Teign cruise. This was very enjoyable and we had the boat to ourselves. Not surprisingly I took lots of photos.

Colin came over to the chalet later and we went out for dinner at The Thatched Tavern, Maidencombe. Stuffed mushrooms and peppers, very nice, washed down with a couple of pints of Badger Gold.
