Exeter
Another sun filled day, so we decided to take off and spend some time in Exeter.
I haven't been there for many years, so was looking forward to the trip. We drove to Dawlish and caught the train from there. Colin, who works in Exeter, had told us what to look out for so we went prepared to be tourists.
The cathedral dominated the city centre, surrounded by grass where people were sitting enjoying the sunshine. There was a coffee shop nearby so we sat outside for our morning brew. It was then a walk around the city centre, lunch at the Pitcher & Piano and a visit to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. We also saw the narrowest street in the world, Parliament Street, only 25inches wide.
The picture is Tom relaxing in the sun, sitting amongst the ruins of a 12th century almshouse, though I think the wall he's actually sitting on is more recent than that.
All in all a very enjoyable day.
