Cornwall Day 7

A seriously big day out today, first stop the incredibly impressive headland at Zennor and a bracing walk. Himself did a drawing of the very beautiful old church, famous for its carving of a mermaid. Fuelled with a cream tea we then did a huge walk taking in Men an Tol stone row and Lanyon Quoit - both highly impressive but neither are authentic as they have been fiddled around and reconstructed over the years. We then had a rather challenging route to find the most extraordinary holy well at Fenton Bebbibel -  which apparently means well of the little people, or fairies. Decaying barbies lay in the fairy tree near the well for girls  bring their dolls to be baptised on Good Friday and some obviously get left as offerings for the fairies. We staggered in around 7pm, fell down into the town and had the most delicious and unusual supper. I had a Malay curry bursting with interesting veg and ate every scrap, even managing a taster pudding (sticky toffee should you wish to know!)
