Wray Castle

After my planned volunteering day at Latterbarrow Nature Reserve with CWT was cancelled I decided to do a recce to Wray Castle as I am volunteering there next week and had never been before. I didn't take a tour of the castle but enjoyed a stroll around the grounds including the Windermere western shore. The view from the castle is delightful as it looks across Windermere to the Fairfield Horseshoe. Popped down to the Claife Viewing Station for another first-time visit and just had to drop by the Courtyard Cafe for some sustenance.

More gardening in the afternoon and am now looking forward to a pub dinner in the Hare & Hounds at Levens.
