Hampsfell Hospice

An inauspicious start to the day. Planned to go to Kentmere for the first time to suss out where the limited parking is and take a walk up the valley to the reservoir but the single track road to Kentmere was closed for roadworks. After completing some chores in Staveley and Windermere I came home walked up Hampsfell to the hospice from the house. The wooden pointer on the top rotates so you point it at one of the fells and then determine what you are looking at by reading from the chart (see extras). The visibility was fantastic today with everything from Scafell to Ingleborough and everything in between easily identifiable.

Spent the afternoon gardening before heading off to the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal to see the film Denial.
