Another Week

My mum asked for a telephone appointment with the doctor this morning. He has now put her on some new, stronger antibiotics, since a week on the other ones made almost no difference to her chest infection. He has also signed her off work for another week. So hopefully these will do the trick! I love when my mum is home with me, but I DON'T like her not being well, and she says she MUST get back to work!

When she went to pick up the prescription I went too and we went for walkies in the park next to the doctors office. I met a new friend and we enjoyed the sunshine. There were lots of families there since school is out for Easter and it was so sunny. Mum gets all excited about the stripes in the grass after it's been cut. She gets excited about weird things!

Once we were back home she declared that we were going to chillax in the garden the rest of the afternoon. We even had tea-time in the garden with scones and clotted cream! Brilliant! Mum found this 'long-life' clotted cream the other day and wanted to try it out to see if it was any good. If it was, it would be a good thing to take to the US as a gift as they normally allow 'long-life' dairy products in. Mum always wants to share the joys of clotted cream with her American friends and family. We both thought it was 'OK'. Consistency was fine. Taste was 'acceptable' but of course nothing like the real thing. Mum? Maybe we need to have more tomorrow just to make sure?

The rest of the afternoon Mum was glued to a new book of a favourite author. I just snoozed. Brilliant!
