Thankful

Today was another mostly chillax day as I try and get over this chest infection. I'm thankful it's not worse - I may be coughing and fatigued and I may feel like like my breathing isn't quite right, but I'm not bed-bound. Although I am avoiding people (I'm told I'm still contagious) I get dressed each day and I've been able to do short shopping trips to get food and most important, I've been able to walk Dolly each day.

Today we went down to the lake and we were able to walk all the way around. It's not huge. Even stopping to take pictures and watch the wildlife, it takes less than half an hour. I'm so thankful for a variety of short and beautiful, peaceful walks within minutes of the house. Today would have been a nice day for a picnic, but that seemed too much effort to organise. There will be plenty of other opportunities this spring and summer - we hope!!
