Plant detective work

Had to go into Kendal today so on the way back took the opportunity to drop into Foulshaw Moss nature reserve as the ospreys had both arrived last week. They appear to have selected one of the old nesting sites this year.

Worked in the garden and started on trying to clear an area that was allowed to become overgrown by the previous occupants. As part of sorting the garden I am trying to identify the plants and shrubs. Waded through lots of images of shrubs with orange flowers on the internet to determine that the shrub in question is a berberis - happy to be corrected though.
