Royal Holloway #academicprisons
This is Founder's Building at Royal Holloway in Egham. It's Grade I Listed and modelled on Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley.
I used to go to Egham for meetings with George around about a million years ago but today was a different job and different setting. I was here for a conference about education in prison; not a subject I thought I'd find myself involved with all those years ago when we'd go to the wine bar on the High Street.
Smashing conference, hanging with the cool kids in the field of higher education and catching up with old friends (who are all really cool kids). The conference closed with a drinks reception in The Picture Gallery which is full of the most splendid paintings, there were canapés too. And the M25 was reasonably benign so all round a lovely day.
