" Mother's Day " Meal

Morrisons this morning as usual.  Bit of a rush as I slept in.

Later on I went to The Metrocentre to meet Neil.  He had the day off today so he invited me for a belated Mother's Day meal.  We went to Ask - an Italian Restaurant.  Neil had chicken and pasta in a creamy sauce.  I had chicken and mushroom risotto. ( and Neil's side salad - he doesn't eat salad! ) I also had dessert - an " Ice Cream Gondola " which was 3 scoops of different flavoured ice cream with crisp biscuits and a salted caramel toffee sauce ( see Extra shot ).  It was all very delicious.  I don't eat out much so I really enjoy myself when I do.

Neil went straight home after the meal and I did a bit of shopping.  Ended up buying a handbag in Debenhams.  An impulse buy but it was half price.

The weather today was mild - but rainy.
