Plaza de Espana

We have shifted focus from seeing sights to wandering around, taking in Seville life, stopping at cafes and bars and admiring the shops. We meandered to the Plaza de Espana, built for a world fair which didn't really happen because of the Wall Street crash and the little matter of simmering discontent which led to civil war. It was left to ruin but now gloriously renovated. It is a wonderful crescent of a building, loads of decorated tiles which contributions from each Spanish province.

Nearby is a park full of Spring life and lots of places to sit and contemplate and watch the world go by. So we did.
