A wave of sea veg: today it's himanthalia elongata

Sea spaghetti (soaked in the bowl, and in dried form outside it). Much more authentic than the so-called transparent kelp noodles one can buy that don't resemble natural kelp in the slightest, and make you curious about the processes it underwent to get so bleached...

Dulse, kelp and nori are staples for me but I've ordered a fresh batch of new varieties to tide me over the Winter. I'll probably use these black strands with a creamy nut sauce tomorrow. Stay posted.
