The Schleswig-Holstein Question

As the ex-PM of of Britain, Lord Palmerston, said " “Only three people have ever really understood the Schleswig-Holstein business—the Prince Consort, who is dead—a German professor, who has gone mad—and I, who have forgotten all about it."

And so we need not unduly trouble ourselves with the question.

It tangentially crops up in a film I watched today - Royal Flash

Based on the second book by George MacDonald Fraser and filmed just after he'd finished making The Three, and then The Four, Musketeers with Richard Lester.

It was a very fun way to spend just over an hour and a half.

I have to say that Oliver Reed did remarkably well as Otto von Bismarck.  And again there are cameos from all sorts of actors - Alastair Sim, Michael Hordern, Bob Hoskins,  Lionely Jeffries, David Jason along with many others.

In real life, there were further signs of Spring.
