Park Your Tractor

"It's a Mystery Tour" I told mum, MrsB and J, as we set off from Silsden after lunch. Truth was, I didn't have the foggiest idea where we were headed, but fancied a trip to somewhere other than Wharfedale for once.

After passing the wonderfully named Blubberhouses going towards Harrogate, I saw the signs to Pateley Bridge and so headed off into Nidderdale. We soon found ourselves passing Gouthwaite Reservoir and spotted the expensive-looking Yorke Arms at Ramsgill. Thought we would stop for a quality cuppa and then a walk, but the snooty barman let us settle before telling us the bar was closed to non-residents after 3:00. Never been there before, and won't be going again, based on that stuffy experience.

What followed was a long story, best kept short. The moral learnt though was: stick with Wharfedale and the Dales and you can't go wrong. Homeward bound we found time for our familiar riverside walk at Bolton Abbey, where another picturesque cricket game was underway, this one between Bolton Abbey and Harrogate.

Couldn't decide what picture to blip in the end, and had loads of dramatic cloudy sky shots. Too many of those used already I thought, so settled on this pair as both photos shared the cricket club setting with a vague 'parking' theme. A bit odd, but all I have to show for the day.

Afterwards, I did find some online Tractor Parking games here.
