Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

End of the month and sending out the odd invoice and fondly remembering the days that a direct debit went into the account as monthly salary. Lots to be said for running your own small business of course, but good cash flow and getting paid is definitely not the easiest bit.

Been driving past Frank Robert's Bakery by the A556 near Northwich for 20+ years and never stopped before to look more closely. Whoever it was when they built this place, thought up the idea of showcasing it's 24/7 production line involving two giant rotating spirals of cooling bread, was a genius. Such a simple idea to frame them in the two huge windows by the main road junction. A slice piece of good luck or a deliberate work of public art? I guess we will never know.

My only suggested addition to it would be some lighting for nighttime. Was going to suggest some light projection of gently licking oven flames or red-hot toaster filaments, but suspect the fire brigade might disagree on that. Pity, that I can't purvey the wonderful bready aromas in the air as I took this.

Just realised that not only is this my second baker-themed blip in a week after On The Way To The Bakery, but both establishments are named 'Roberts' as well (though I think they are totally unrelated).
