The Dales

Well...what a lovely day, M and I have been thoroughly spoiled!  Dear friend B. took us for lunch at the Dales Country House Hotel.  This Edwardian hotel is a real pleasure to visit, so many interesting things to photograph (I am rather fond of interiors and love the heart shaped finials on the staircase), not to mention an excellent three course lunch, finishing off with coffee in the lounge.  Thank you B., it was a great treat! The extra is the pretty chandelier  we were sitting under, whilst choosing from the menu.
M and I have just started our Toad Watch volunteering for 2017, and so the hearty lunch will keep us going through our early evening patrol.  We rescued 6 toads (and a frog) from the road last night and carefully deposited them into the local pond.  We hope to collect a few more tonight.
