Red Shoes & Storm Doris
B. was feeling much better today so we drove into Norwich as planned to go and see the Matthew Bourne production of the ballet 'The Red Shoes'. Storm Doris was certainly making her presence felt as we battled through wind and rain to get to and from John Lewis (lunch stop) to the theatre. The ballet was brilliant and we really enjoyed it.
We didn't enjoy the drive back so much, lots of branches and tree debris at the side of the road and heavy rain. We went a rather long way round via Cromer to avoid the narrow and heavily wooded road through Felbrigg.
I heard on the BBC news later that Weybourne (which is only a few miles from us in Holt) had the 2nd highest wind gust in the UK at 81 mile per hour. M was glad to see us back safe and sound.
