Too slow!

It's still in the oven and I'm hungry.

Cottage pie, Madras Club style. It's remarkably easy (following the recipe in my Rick Stein book of Indian delights). It does take a while, though. 30 minutes in the oven after you've made the sauce and the mashed potato. About 90 minutes altogether.

Will it be worth it? Usually is.

The wind is howling outside and snow may make a re-appearance on Thursday, so a lovely warm kitchen with delicious cooking smells is spot on.
