The Atom

In East Lancs over the past couple of years a number of art works have appeared called the Panopticans. This one is called the Atom and is perched high above the Wycoller valley. You walk inside and view the landscape from portholes. It gives you an embryonic feeling as if a chick breaking out of an egg for the first time. They have been controversial pieces of art but it fits is the landscape beautifully with the gritstone out crops nearby.
