Heart Hat

Ailie said it was purely by chance she wore this hat today, the day set aside between Christmas and Easter for shops to make lots of money.

We had a morning walk through the woods up to the moor with Jill and Chris, whose birthday was today. A stray hen had laid some eggs in Ailie's garden, so she made us scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for brunch. I took croissants and some chocolate cake to celebrate. Wine was taken.

Mr C might not do the sloppy stuff but he has spent money in Argos on special shelves that pull out so I can see what's in the back of the larder cupboard, and is now working out how to fit them. I consider myself a lucky woman.
