A proper walk

We both said yesterday that weather permitting, we would get out for a proper walk today, and we did! Hub has recovered from his lurgy now.

Slept like a log last night, so this view of the path we had just trod, through the trees around Pennington Flash, is somewhat pertinent ;-) This blip was hubs choice, he spotted the view, which was behind us, with the watery sunshine breaking through the trees.

It was a little more chilly on our walk than we expected, should have wrapped up a bit more, but it was refreshing and felt good to be outdoors totting up most of our steps for today.
It was surprisingly muddy underfoot, good job we had our walking shoes on.........

once back at the car, footwear changed, we drove back to town and called in the cafe for a cafe and a sandwich, which was lovely as always.

Once we got home we decided to do a little bit of pruning and cutting back in the garden, after 30 minutes or so it started to drizzle.......so spent the rest of the afternoon researching healthy antioxidant foodstuffs to improve our diets.......was going to order on line but delivery costs are astronomical! A visit to health food shop instead I think ;-)

Dinner tonight will be a griddled sirloin, onions, tomatoes with a stuffed portabelo mushroom ;-)
