Balestrino

Balestrino is a collection of villages in the hills above Italy's Ligurian coast. If you look carefully at this village however, you might notice that it is derelict. It is said to be haunted by the souls of the monks who once lived in the monastery. Scary.

Collected our car this morning from the Advantage Rental depot, which was situated in an abandoned factory near the airport. This was also scary.

But our little hotel isn't scary. We have a little balcony overlooking the tiny swimming pool which catches the afternoon sun. Sunset is at 18.55 exactly. This evening we shall have a meal in the small restaurant.
