Waves and Sunshine at Westport

6.4C with a sunny morning and a cloudier afternoon. Light to moderate E/SE breeze.

Apothecary7's day off ... and first day of a week off.

About 10 am we went to Westport beach with Maeve the Deerhound and had a long walk towards Machrihanish. Not long after the start of the walk Bran the lovely Afghan hound came running up to see Maeve. We had met him one morning in the summer round near where he lives at the start of Askomill on a Friday ferry day. He is as friendly and gentle as Maeve and likes to run around on the beach just like she did when she was a bit younger. We had a chat with his owner too. There were a few people on the beach and nearer the golf course there were some surfers in the water. Back at the car park more surfers in cars and motor homes were getting ready to take to the waves.

Glenbarr for lunch. On the way we spotted more surfers in the water.

Relaxing afternoon at home.

Later Apothecary7 was continuing with making a rag rug.
