Starry Cracks and Altered Colours
4.0C with a bright start then clouding over. Rain by mid afternoon. Zephyr.
This morning I sanded down the paintwork on a deep window frame in the bathroom upstairs.
(I swept, vacuumed, and cleaned up the resulting dust/powder)
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Eagles on the Nano (Hell Freezes Over). We went down the road to the shore road then went over the road bridge over the railway to Westhaven beach. The tide was going out. We made a quick visit to the upturned dinghies just along from the car park to get a few close shots from which I later selected one to work on for Abstract Thursday. I worked with the starry cracks and altered colours today rather than making a mirrored image.
We walked along the beach in the direction of Carnoustie then made our way up to the path and walked along the seafront to the golf courses.
We went along by the first tee and the eighteenth green on the Championship course and past the hotel, crossed the road by Simpson's golf shop, then went up to the High Street and came back along to rejoin our usual route up the main road and along to home. On the way I met a neighbour from across the road and learned that their Dalmatian Hamish, who we hadn't seen out walking for a while, died last year. He had an ongoing spinal problem. Still sad.
