Serene Swans

Slow start this morning but once Kar got back from Pilates we walked into town along the river. We had a few things to get and it was a chance to get a bit of fresh air and exercise.

Met up with eldest son when he finished his shift and helped him choose a couple of things ready for an upcoming interview.

It rained briefly and I was tempted to post a photo of a busy and wet town centre. The reflections of the bright shop lights on the pavement and colourful umbrellas would have worked better an hour later. As it was the photo I took lacked impact.

So instead I picked this one. I like the way the swans stretch out along the edge of the river and the movement on the opposite side of the gulls.

Glad to get home in the end. While my back is improving slowly at the moment, standing and walking slowly (typical shopping behaviours) gradually build the pain level.

Anyway, back home now and I have the perfect excuse to put my feet up for the rest of the evening.
