Day 1: Haven Holiday

2years 298days

So, we left home pretty early this morning - 730am - and went for our first train of the day. Thankfully, we discovered if we waited an extra 15minutes we could reduce our total count of trains by one to 4 instead of 5. She was such a good girl for the whole of the journey, which took us til nearly 2pm. We were on our way to Caister Holiday Park, near Great Yarmouth to visit friends who have now moved there. Louise and children met us at their local station, although not until we'd been terrorised by a psycho chicken.

We went to Aunty Louise's house for a play and a nosey round. Katie and Amelie had a wonderful time in Amelie's playpen. Katie liked it as she was wary of their dog when she first arrived and would stroke the dog if there were bars separating them both! We played in the huge garden, we fed ravenous children mountains of various foods, we moved and sorted a few boxes.

Late afternoon, they took us to our caravan back at the holiday park. We left in such a load of chaos with all the children that Monkey got left in the playpen. Thankfully, Uncle Gareth in his instructions for the prepping of the caravan had made sure this stuffed Anxious the Elephant was waiting on Katie's (theoretical, she never used it) bed. She was thrilled. But still noticed that she hadnt got Monks.

After they had gone, I took Katie for a bit of a walk for some fresh air and cooling down time as she'd had a late sleep. She fell asleep very tired in our caravan when we got back!
