Where is this?

This rather sad looking lion sits beside the gateway of a property about half a mile from my house. His twin is on the other side of the drive. I've intended to blip one for a long time.

Today I drove to Blanchland and had a long catch up with my lovely friend, P, over lunch. We are not usually "ladies who lunch" but we were today. It's good to have friendships where you pick up where you left off, even if months have intervened. I gave out a few walking festival brochures to people who came into the teashop too.

I intended to blip the Derwent Reservoir with the purple heather moorlands, but when I drove home it was pouring and the view had disappeared.

The new printer arrived today and is already functioning well. Why did I keep on struggling with the old one for so long?
